Drug: Take oral form on empty stomach. Food ¯ bioavailability 50%.
Oral/GI: N/V, stomach pain, diarrhea.
Rare ulcerated esophagitis, acute colitis.
S/Cond: Caution with hepatic impairment.
Pregnancy: Safe in pregnancy.
Other: Allergic reaction, rash, itching.
Rare cardiac toxicity, cholestatic hepatitis.
Blood/Serum: ¯ platelets. Rare ― SGPT, ― alk phos.
Monitor: Possibly hepatic func.

Drug: Take without regard to meals. Nutr: Anorexia, ¯ wt.
Oral/GI: Stomatitis, N/V, abdominal pain, diarrhea.
S/Cond: Limit alcohol. Not with lactation.
Pregnancy: Category C.
Other: PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY, chills/fever, headache, weakness, muscle pain, dementia, insomnia, rash, pancreatitis (can be fatal).
Blood/Serum: ― SGOT, ― SGPT, ― alk phos, ― bil, ― amylase, ― lipase, anemia, ¯ platelets, ¯ neutrophils.
Monitor: Hepatic func, amylase, lipase.
